A big thank you to our Department of Public Works crew for another great week of service to the Village.

Our DPW team spends countless hours maintaining our streets, parks, infrastructure, and public spaces. This week, they were once again out across the Village collecting and chipping brush from residents’ homes, helping keep our community clean and attractive.

As a reminder, Village brush collection takes place at the beginning of each week, generally on Mondays and Tuesdays. Residents should place brush at the curb before collection begins.

Please join us in thanking our DPW employees for their hard work and dedication to the Village of East Aurora.

East Fillmore between Pine St. and Martin Dr. will be closed today due to road repair. We hope to have road back open by 1:00pm.

Alert: Road Milling Projects!

The Village of East Aurora DPW will begin road milling around the Village next week. Roads to be milled include Grey St., Boise Alley, Girard Ave., Crescent, and Church St.

Tuesday June 9th, 2026 - Boise Alley, Grey Street, and Girard. Grey Street will be CLOSED at 7:00am from Buffalo Road to Boise Alley. Plaza entrances at Starbucks and Mighty Taco will be OPEN. One Boise Alley and Grey Street are complete we will move to Girard Ave.

Wednesday June 10th, 2026- Girard Ave (Maple to North Willow), Church Steet, and Crescent Ave. Roads will be closed while milling is performed. If you need to leave you house during the day, please leave your vehicle parked on a side street.

Flyers will be dropped off on Friday. We know closed roads can be a hassle, but we hope to get this done in a timely manner.

South Grove Street between Prospect and Griggs will have a section of road reduced to one lane. The DPW will be repairing the road cut next to the Hamlin Park entrance. Please use caution when traveling through the construction zone and watch for workers and equipment.

Due to some delays, the expected utility work on Buffalo Rd. from Girard Ave. to Grey St. is expected to start on June 3, with an anticipated end date of June 8 (subject to completion). During this time, there will be a single lane road restriction.

Attention….

A water leak has sprung on Lawrence Ave at Pine Street. The DPW is ready to make the repair as soon as underground facilities are marked.

Residents in this are may encounter low to no water pressure during this time. We hope to have the repair finished in the next couple hours.

Update…. Turns out it was a storm sewer issue combined with a large pool being drained on Lawrence. Water main is fine.

Today, we honor and remember the men and women who gave their lives in service to our country.

On behalf of the Village of East Aurora, thank you to all who have served and to the families who carry the legacy of those we remember today.
