Town of Aurora Highway Department The Town of Aurora Highway Department is located at 251 Quaker Rd, East Aurora, NY. Our phone number is 716 652-4050. We are here to serve and happy to help you.

The Town of Aurora Highway Department serves residents in the Town of Aurora, outside of the Village of East Aurora. We currently take care of snow plowing on town roads as well as some Erie county roads. We also pick up leaves, brush, tires and car batteries on scheduled dates. We maintain ditches on town roads and we repair and resurface town roads. Parks maintenance and dog control is also run

out of our office. If you would like to reserve a shelter in Hamlin Park, West Falls Park or by the pool, give us a call!

Exciting news the Town Highway has been cleared to go to public information open house for the new Brooklea Drive Bridge by the NYSDOT BridgeNY program! This is the first step in preparing the final design, bidding, and construction of the $2.1 Million Dollar project. We are projecting a spring of 2028 start with a finish in the fall of 2028. Though this will be a little inconvenient for the neighborhood that summer it is going to be a really good bridge built to last! Next week residents of Brooklea, The Meadow, Surrey Run, and ByBerry Court will receive hand bills delivered to their houses. Anyone is welcome though if they are interested. The Town of Aurora Highway Department installed a new bike rack in front of the Aurora Town Public Library on Main Street — which will provide cyclists, like 2-year-old Bridget, pictured with her mom, Heather — a convenient place to park while they visit.

The library said they appreciate the Highway Department’s support and commitment to improving access to our community’s library.

ROAD WORK ALERT!! It’s that time of year again for Oil & Chip Sealing!! Tentatively Tuesday May 26, 2026 the following roads will have temporary road closures:
Beech Road
Cook Road
Hubbard Road
Sweet Road (Center to Underhill)
Boies Road (Blakely to Emery)
Please avoid those roads if possible so that we can work safely and efficiently. Drive slowly on the newly chipped roads. We will sweep up the loose stones the following week after they have settled. If you have any questions or concerns call us at 7166524050.
