Today was extra FUN as we officially revealed our Leader in Me Accountability Buddies! 🤝✨ These buddy partnerships will help our students encourage, support, and hold one another accountable as they work toward their WIGs — Wildly Important Goals! 🎯

And what better way to kick off our WIG journey than with WIG Kick-Off Day! 🎊 Students and staff showed up in their wigs and CRAZY hair and brought the fun! 😂💇‍♀️

We are ready to set goals, make a plan, cheer each other on, and GROW together! 🌟

We are so grateful to 5 Point Church for celebrating and rewarding our amazing students who worked SO hard to complete this year’s Ultra Tough Math & Reading Summer Challenge! 📚➕📖

5 Point Church went above and beyond—not only celebrating our students with well-deserved rewards, but also providing gift cards to a local restaurant for their families to recognize the support and encouragement they gave their children all summer long! ❤️

We are incredibly thankful for community partners who invest in our students, celebrate their hard work, and recognize the important role families play in their success.

SDPC is beginning the search for our next superintendent.

Following 13 years of leadership, Superintendent Dr. Danny Merck will conclude his service at the end of the 2026–2027 school year. With advance planning, the Board of Trustees is beginning the search process now to support a thoughtful and seamless transition.

The search will be guided by our Innovate ’28 Strategic Plan and shaped by input from the people who know and care about SDPC — our students, employees, families, and Pickens County community.

🗣️ Your voice matters.

The Board of Trustees, in partnership with the South Carolina School Boards Association, is gathering community input to help identify the qualities, experience, and leadership priorities that should guide the search for SDPC’s next superintendent.

The first opportunity to share your input:
