At last week’s Board of Supervisor’s meeting, Officer Niles Luong was awarded a merit commendation in recognition of his proactive police work and attention to detail during a traffic stop in March 2024.

During the investigation, Officer Luong identified multiple armed occupants inside the vehicle and safely recovered two illegally possessed fi****ms, along with G***k switches capable of converting a handgun into a machine pistol. His actions led to several arrests and the seizure of additional contraband, helping to prevent potentially dangerous criminal activity in our community.

Great work, Niles!

On Tuesday, Detective Michael Nastasi received the International Association of Financial Crime Investigators (IAFCI), Delaware Valley Chapter, Law Enforcement Officer of the Year Award for his outstanding work in a complex wire fraud investigation.

In March 2025, Detective Nastasi assisted a couple after more than $1.6 million intended for a home purchase was diverted through a fraudulent scheme. Through quick action and coordination with the United States Secret Service Philadelphia Field Office, the transfer was stopped, resulting in the recovery and return of the full amount to the victims.

Please join us in congratulating Detective Nastasi on this well-deserved recognition!

This week, our department had the opportunity to participate in the Mobile Career Fair hosted throughout the Methacton School District elementary schools.

Our Community Policing Unit was happy to show off our patrol vehicle, giving second grade students the chance to get an up-close look, ask questions, and learn more about what a day in law enforcement looks like.

We enjoyed connecting with students, talking about safety, and sharing how our officers work every day to serve and protect the community.
