Our protocol is to accept comments made to West Ada School District social media platforms to encourage a respectful public school-related dialogue, except in circumstances where those comments contain:
•Language that is disruptive of school operations, the instructional effectiveness of the school, or promotes/endorses actions detrimental to the health and safety of students
or personnel.
•Hate speech including but not limited to any offensive comments that target or disparage any ethnic, racial or religious group, sexual orientation or otherwise are discriminatory.
•Profanity, obscenity, vulgarity, nudity.
•Sexually provocative or flirtatious dialogue.
•Promotion of the illegal use of drugs, alcohol or other controlled substance.
•Promotion of any illegal or unethical activity, including but not limited to violence.
•Defamation.
•Intent to sell or promote a product, service or non-district sponsored event.
•Comments that infringe on copyrights, trademarks or any other intellectual property rights.
•Confidential information.
•Campaigning for political office.
•Violate any policy of the West Ada School District.
•Spam. All posting of comments on the West Ada School District social media pages are at the discretion of the page administrators. Commenters are encouraged to submit comments regarding posted school-related topics. By participating in any of the West Ada School District Social Media pages, you agree to post comments that are appropriate, productive and respectful of others. Abuse of the above guidelines can lead to removal of a specific posting and/or potentially may lead to the blocking/removal from our page. The District also reserves the right to turn off comments associated with any individual District posting. The comments expressed on this media site do not reflect the opinions and positions of the West Ada School District or its employees. The District reserves the right to change these rules of engagement at any time, without prior notification.
