This is a water heater element pulled from a tank. Over time, internal components corrode and break down (that’s how they protect the tank).

That’s why we always recommend using cold water for cooking or drinking, not the hot tap.

We’ve had 100+ customers tell us they used hot water for pasta, soup, mac & cheese… until they saw what drains out of a heater.
