Port of Eagle Pass – Community Update

In light of recent violent incidents reported in other parts of México, U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) will be conducting routine preparedness drills at the Port of Eagle Pass.

These drills are proactive safety measures and should not cause alarm. They are part of standard operational readiness to ensure our officers and staff are fully prepared should any situation arise.

While these exercises are being conducted, travelers may experience minor delays when crossing, and we appreciate everyone’s patience and understanding.

The Port of Eagle Pass continues to be the safest port of entry along the U.S.–Mexico border, and we are grateful to CBP for their professionalism and commitment to keeping our community secure.

Your safety is always our top priority. Thank you for choosing Eagle Pass — your best option to cross.

Puerto de Eagle Pass – Aviso a la Comunidad

Ante los recientes hechos violentos reportados en otras partes de México, Aduanas y Protección Fronteriza de los Estados Unidos (CBP) estará llevando a cabo simulacros rutinarios de preparación en el Puerto de Eagle Pass.

Estos simulacros son medidas preventivas y proactivas de seguridad y no deben causar alarma. Forman parte de los protocolos normales de preparación operativa para garantizar que el personal esté listo ante cualquier eventualidad.

Durante la realización de estos ejercicios, es posible que se presenten retrasos menores al cruzar, por lo que agradecemos su paciencia y comprensión.

El Puerto de Eagle Pass continúa siendo el puerto de entrada más seguro a lo largo de la frontera entre Estados Unidos y México, y agradecemos a CBP por su profesionalismo y compromiso para mantener segura a nuestra comunidad.

🚨 Temporary Bridge No. 2 Closure Notice 🚨

The City of Eagle Pass would like to inform all bridge users that Bridge No. 2 will be temporarily closed to all vehicular traffic — including passenger and commercial vehicles — from 9:30 a.m. to approximately 11:30 a.m. to safely host the Cabalgata La Grande event on the bridge.

During this time, all passenger vehicles are asked to utilize Bridge No. 1 and plan ahead for possible delays. Please follow all posted signage and officer directions to help maintain a safe and efficient flow of traffic.

We appreciate your patience, cooperation, and understanding as we support this special community tradition. Normal operations at Bridge No. 2 will resume as soon as the event concludes.

La Ciudad de Eagle Pass informa a todos los usuarios de los puentes que el Puente No. 2 estará temporalmente cerrado a todo el tráfico vehicular — incluyendo vehículos particulares y comerciales — de 9:30 a.m. a aproximadamente 11:30 a.m. para llevar a cabo de manera segura el evento Cabalgata La Grande sobre el puente.

Durante este periodo, se solicita a todos los vehículos particulares utilizar el Puente No. 1 y tomar precauciones al viajar, ya que podrían presentarse retrasos. Favor de seguir la señalización y las indicaciones de los oficiales para mantener un flujo de tráfico seguro y eficiente.

🚨 TRAFFIC ADVISORY – TEMPORARY CLOSURE OF BRIDGE 1 🚨

The City of Eagle Pass would like to inform the public that Bridge 1 will be temporarily closed in both directions — to Mexico and from Mexico into the United States — beginning at approximately 9:15 a.m. through 1:00 p.m. today.

During this time, all vehicular traffic will be redirected to Bridge 2. Motorists are encouraged to plan ahead, allow for additional travel time, and follow posted signage to help ensure a smooth transition.

We understand this may cause inconvenience and sincerely appreciate your patience and cooperation as we work to maintain safe and efficient operations at our international crossings. Updates will be provided as they become available, and we will notify the public once Bridge 1 has reopened.

La Ciudad de Eagle Pass informa al público que el Puente 1 estará temporalmente cerrado en ambos sentidos — hacia México y de México hacia los Estados Unidos — comenzando aproximadamente a las 9:15 a.m. y hasta la 1:00 p.m. del día de hoy.
