🇺🇸🚔 NATIONAL NIGHT OUT 2026!

The Maverick County Attorney’s Office was proud to participate in this year’s National Night Out, hosted by the Eagle Pass Police Department!

Our team had a great time connecting with families, visiting with fellow law enforcement agencies, and giving our community an opportunity to meet our staff and get an up-close look at some of our equipment! 🚓

Events like these remind us that building a safer, stronger community starts with positive relationships between law enforcement and the people we serve.

👏 A special thank you to the Eagle Pass Police Department for organizing this wonderful event and to all the families who stopped by our booth!

🎀 MCAO IN THE COMMUNITY 🎀

Representatives from the Maverick County Attorney’s Office were proud to attend the Maverick County Precinct 1 Constable’s Breast Cancer Walkathon this morning at Maverick County Lake.

It was great seeing our community come together in support of breast cancer awareness, hope, and those who continue to fight. 💗

Congratulations to Maverick County Constable Precinct 1 and the entire team for organizing a wonderful community event and bringing so many people together for an important cause.

Together we walk. Together we support. Together we fight. 🎀

Maverick County is facing a challenging budget year, and like many departments, our office must continue doing more with fewer resources. Even so, our commitment to serving this community remains unchanged.

I wanted to share this letter with the people of Maverick County to reaffirm that the Maverick County Attorney’s Office will continue working hard, serving with integrity, and doing all we can for our community. Please take a moment to read.

If you are applying for a Protective Order, coming prepared can help our office review and process your application more efficiently.

Please bring as much information and documentation as possible, including the respondent’s address, identification, police reports, court orders, photographs of injuries, text messages, screenshots, or other evidence related to the abuse or violence.

It is also important to provide information about prior incidents. Evidence showing a history or pattern of violence, threats, harassment, or abuse can help establish the circumstances surrounding your request and support the findings the court may need to make.

Please complete your application fully, arrive on time for your appointment, and let our staff know if you are already represented by an attorney.

Being prepared helps us better understand your situation and determine the appropriate next steps.

This week, members of the Maverick County Attorney’s Office attended the TDCAA Annual Criminal & Civil Law Conference in Waco.

Training and networking with district attorneys, county attorneys, investigators, victim coordinators, and other key personnel from across Texas helps us exchange ideas and improve the systems serving our communities.

The conference also gave us valuable perspective, reminding us to appreciate the resources we have while learning from the advanced programs and practices other offices have developed.

We are returning with new knowledge, stronger professional relationships, and new goals for our office. I’m excited to keep pushing for more and continue improving the services we provide to Maverick County.

Living and serving in a border community, we know how deeply Mexican culture, traditions, and family ties are woven into the fabric of Maverick County.

Today, we recognize Mexican Independence Day and celebrate the heritage and traditions shared by so many families in our community.

From all of us at the Maverick County Attorney’s Office, we wish everyone celebrating a safe and happy 16 de Septiembre. 🇲🇽

This evening, I was honored to help lead The Support Hub’s Su***de Awareness Walk alongside fellow elected officials and community leaders.

Thank you to The Support Hub and all the event organizers for bringing our community together for such an important cause. I also want to thank every individual, family, school, business, and organization that participated and helped raise awareness.

Tonight’s walk was a powerful reminder that no one should struggle alone. There is hope. There is help. There is healing. Together, we can make a difference. 💜🩵
