We had a fun assembly this morning with Safe Routes UT where our students learned how to Beat the Street! This dynamic, educational presentation teaches students about the importance of traffic signs, signal lights, crossing the road, and helmet use. Our students had a great time and now know the importance of walking and biking to school safely.

Thank you Safe Routes UT for such a fun morning and for helping to keep our kids safe!

Hi, I'm Mikel Kissell, and I'm so excited to be joining the school community as the yoga teacher! Yoga has transformed my life by helping me become more present, resilient, and a better mom, and I'm passionate about sharing those same tools with children. Meet Mrs. Lowery - one of our special education teachers!

I am excited to join the Eagle Valley community. I am from Texas, but my husband and I have been living in Utah for 5 years now with no plans of returning. We love the mountains, so many national parks to go to and no humidity. We recently celebrated our 17th wedding anniversary and I am blessed to be a bonus mom to 3 beautiful children. I have been a special education teacher for almost 20 years and there is no other place I'd rather be šŸ˜ When I am not teaching, you can find me walking or riding my bike with my dogs, traveling with my husband, or going to sporting events. Meet Mrs. Lozano - our new ML coach!

My name is Maren Lozano, and I am excited to be returning to Eagle Valley as the ESL Coach. This will be my 17th year in education, and Eagle Valley holds a special place in my heart since itā€™s where I began my teaching career. I have been married to my Colombian husband for 7 years, and together we have two energetic boys and a baby girl who joined our family in May. I speak Spanish and am passionate about supporting multilingual learners and their families. I am thrilled to be part of the Eagle Valley community again and look forward to getting to know and work with all of you this year!

Meet Miss Castaneda - our new first-grade teacher!

Hello, I'm Marleen Castaneda! I am so excited to be returning to Eagle Valley as a teacher after previously working here as an aide. When I am not in the classroom, I enjoy traveling, visiting Disney parks, and spending time with my cats. I also speak Spanish and I love being able to communicate with and support both students and families. It's going to be a great year!
