The Minnesota House is set to vote on a health bill that could have a big impact on Minnesotans, especially cancer patients, survivors, thrivers, and caregivers, and not in the way it should.

We're calling on the House to include language that would require some state-regulated health insurers to cover fertility preservation and treatment, including for those who experience medically induced infertility from cancer, and to ensure this bill reduces harm in our Medicaid program as the state implements federal changes.

Take a moment to send a message to your member of the Minnesota house today:

ACS CAN is the leading cancer advocacy organization that is working every day to make cancer issues a national priority.

We have great news— our bill that would make sure more folks have access to no-cost cancer screenings for colorectal, breast, cervical, lung, and prostate cancer has been introduced!

It’s no secret that staying on top of your cancer screenings is important. We also know that when people are diagnosed at an earlier stage, they often have treatment that is more successful, less debilitating, less costly, and associated with better survivorship outcomes.

However, we also know that even small out-of-pocket costs prevent many Minnesotans from getting the screenings their doctors recommend.

Send a message to your lawmakers and ask them to support this bill: https://act.fightcancer.org/a/tell-your-lawmakers-weve-got-bill

What an amazing day yesterday! Cancer-fighting advocates from all across the state joined us in St. Paul for our 2026 Cancer Action Day. We had countless conversations with lawmakers about the importance of ensuring more Minnesotans have access to no-cost cancer screenings for breast, cervical, colorectal, lung and prostate cancer.

Thank you to our attendees for making your voices heard and helping to educate lawmakers on the importance of this legislation.
