We are happy to announce that we received a $2,000 grant from Black Hills Energy. These funds will be used to continue improving our personal protective equipment by purchasing new Nomex hoods for all our firefighters.

Nomex hoods cover and protect our heads and necks from heat and flames, and are a vital component of our personal protective equipment.

Thank you, Black Hills Energy, for your support of local firefighters!

Join us this Friday, June 12th, at the Downtown Summer Night event hosted by the Dyersville Area Chamber of Commerce for our annual Water Fights.
For firefighters interested in participating;
The tournament will start at 6:00. Please register by 5:30. We will be using a 1-1/2-inch hose. Full bunker gear will be required for all competitors.
Call the Dyersville Fire Department at (563) 875-8356 or email [email protected] for more information or to pre-register. Competitors can also register in person on the day of the event.

We had a great group of Dyersville Elementary 4th graders in the building for an end-of-the-year field trip. We hope you enjoyed the demonstrations and the tour!

Thanks to the generosity of the Dyersville community, we were able to purchase new helmets for all of our firefighters. We have been setting aside funds from our fundraising efforts over the last few years to update our personal protective equipment. We were able to make the purchase after our last fundraising campaign! These will completely replace our old helmets, which were purchased in 2012-2013.

Great training this week from the guys at CFT - Customized Firefighter Training Inc.. Safe and effective live fire training can be difficult. CFT brings the knowledge and experience to make it worthwhile.

We had a great group of Xavier 4th graders in the building last week. We hope you enjoyed the demonstration and the tour!

Thank you to all those who joined us for our community CPR class. We trained 43 community members in CPR, AED use, and basic first-aid.
