This week, our kindergartners learned all about being a kind friend through a variety of books. We wrapped up our unit by making a Friendship Fruit Salad! 💕

🥣 Our classroom = the big bowl
🍑 Happiness = peaches
🍍 Kindness = pineapple
🍊 Hard work = mandarin oranges
☁️ Good friends = marshmallows

And we all agreed… don’t be a rotten banana! 🍌

What a fun and sweet way to end our week! 💕🍓

Mrs. Litsa’s second graders presented spoons with special personalities that they created after reading Spoon by Amy Krouse Rosenthal. One was even made out of honeycombs. 🥄🍯

🏈🧡🦋🌸 Today was a great day to celebrate the Choctaws and Dolly Parton! Our students loved Dolly/Spirit Day!

🍕Ms. Joanna’s little chefs had the best time today at their shape pizza party! They started by reading a fun story about shape pizzas and then put their learning into action by creating their own pizzas by using different shapes. Throughout the morning they worked at their "pizzeria jobs" and completed pizza-themed activities, and even listened to pizzeria music while they worked. They practiced identifying shapes, counting, following directions, using fine motor skills, and working together.

🍎 Today we recognized our first group of Warriors of the Month for the 2026-2027 school year. Being recognized as a Warrior is the highest recognition a student can receive for demonstrating exemplary effort and behavior at Fifth Consolidated Elementary. Congratulations to our Warriors of the Month! Each of these students was selected to receive this recognition because they serve as an outstanding example of our “TRIBE” expectations:
