NWTSSA's Forked Deer Shooting Complex will be located at 3570 Beaver Road approximately 4 miles southeast of Dyersburg in Dyer County, Tennessee. Our site is on the Tigrett Wildlife Management Area 1.1 miles east of US Hwy 412. The range will accommodate rifle and pistol shooters and will have ranges varying in length from 25 to 600 yards. As our world seems to be getting more dangerous each day it becomes more important to be able to defend our selves! Our law officers stand tall in their effort to protect all of us each day. We all understand they cannot be everywhere at the same time. Each person must be prepared to defend himself and his family. It behoves everyone to make sure he can safely be ready if the occasion arrises.

As expected NWTSSA won in court yesterday. This was on the part of our case that the Tennessee Court of Appeals had been remanded back to Circuit Court for another hearing. Technically the plaintiff can appeal the appeals court's final ruling within 30 days, but this would be expensive and very likely futile,
Hopefully this will end the matter.

Our court date on August 5 was continued at the plaintiff's request. She has secured another attorney and requested time for him to prepare. Judge Acree granted her motion and reset the case for September 25.
While we are ready to see the final resolution of this matter we feel confident that we are very close to a final disposition in favor of NWTSSA.

The State Court of Appeals upheld the lower court's decision in part and remanded in part. We have another court date before Judge Acree on August 5. It's slow going, folks, but we're going to get this shooting range built!

Update on the lawsuit against NWTSSA:

We are still awaiting a court date for our case to be heard by the State Court of Appeals. The plaintiffs have been granted two 30-day continuances, the latest due to the fact that they have hired a new attorney and this attorney has requested more time to prepare the case. We are hopeful that the appeals court will hear this around the middle of May.
