NOTICE TO CITY OF DYER RESIDENTS
Sewer Billing Update
Please be aware that this month’s water bill will show TWO separate sewer charges.
In accordance with Ordinance No. 2023-08-25-01, the City of Dyer’s sewer rates increased effective with the bills issued in September 2026. The new rates were entered into our billing software after the meters had already been read for this billing cycle.
As a result, the new sewer rate appears as two separate charges on your bill. These two charges, when added together, equal the correct new sewer rate.
Beginning with the next billing cycle, the sewer charge will once again appear as one line item on your bill.
We apologize for any confusion this may cause and appreciate your understanding.

The storms that came through our area yesterday have left some of our neighbors without power, and we know how quickly homes can become uncomfortable when the air conditioning is not working.

The City of Dyer is opening the community building for anyone who is without power and needs a cool, air-conditioned place to spend some time. If your home is getting too warm, please know that you are welcome to come in, cool off, and be comfortable while power is being restored.

We also ask everyone to take a moment to check on your neighbors, friends, family members, and especially those who may have a harder time dealing with the heat. Sometimes simply making sure someone knows there is a cool place available can make a big difference.

Please share this post and help us spread the word. We want to make sure everyone in our community who may need this space knows that it is available.

Water leak repair has been fixed, and water has been restored. If you experience any water discoloration, run water on cold for 10-15 minutes throughout your home to help flush your lines!
We appreciate your patience!

Water will be out for the following areas until leak repaired. Red hill road, Old Simmons road, Heard branch, Rosella's way and Porter Place. Please be patient while the leak is repaired. We will complete this as quickly as possible. In the meantime time run water for consumption or use while we are repairing. We apologize for the inconvenience.
