We have received the following information regarding trash service for this week from River Valley Waste Removal!
Due to the FS Landfill weather related closure on Monday, Jan 22nd, trash service is suspended until Tuesday Jan 23rd.

Monday will be picked up on Tuesday
(Full Monday Route)
Tuesday will be picked up on Wednesday
Wednesday will be picked up on Thursday
Thursday will be picked up on Friday

We understand that this is an inconvenience and we apologize.
Please know that Safety must come first.
Thank you to all who have been kind during the route changes due to snow, ice, and landfill closures.

The City of Dyer offices will be closed tomorrow January 22,2024 due to an inclement weather!

The Dyer Community building will be open tonight and into tomorrow for a warming station for anyone in need!

We have received the following update about trash for this week!
Due to road conditions we will not be picking up trash Thursday, January 17th.
We will resume our normal pick up schedule on Monday.
Some of the main roads are clear but there are many roads that are not safe for the trucks to drive on.
Thank you for your understanding regarding the road conditions.

We have received the following message from River valley waste removal!

Due to snow and ice conditions on the roads, we are canceling residential trash pick-ups tomorrow, Wed, Jan. 17th.
Employee and customer safety is our number one priority.
Thank you for your grace regarding the weather.

We have an update on River Valley Waste removal pick up schedule for this week!

Due to ice and snow we will be running the following schedule:

Mon routes will be picked up on Wed
Tues routes will be picked up on Thur
Wed routes will be picked up on Fri
Thur routes will be picked up on Sat
Please have your trash outside by 6am

Please note we may run limited routes due to snow and ice.

We received a road report from our public works supervisor. He states that the interstate roads are holding up ok but the other roads are getting slick. Please everyone be safe.
