Why is Duvall Fire asking for a fire benefit charge renewal?
The fire district funds emergency services through a fire levy rate and a fire benefit charge. Duvall voters approved a fire benefit charge in 2019, and it will expire at the end of this year. More than two dozen Washington communities have approved a fire benefit charge as a fairer way to fund fire service. Learn more at www.duvallfire45.com/bsc

Happy New Year everyone! We would like to thank our community for your 65 years of support! With operations transferring to Eastside Fire & Rescue tomorrow morning, we would like to recognize the proud legacy of firefighters who have served the City of Duvall and Fire District 45. It started as two separate all volunteer departments and slowly grew into a single fully staffed, mostly career department. Many of our firefighters are not the first member of the family to respond to the call for help. Whether volunteer or career, it has been our greatest honor to serve you and offer assistance in your most critical moments.
It is important that you know, your fire district is intact and you still have a board of commissioners who represent your interest in this community.
Eastside Fire & Rescue and the Eastside Firefighters are looking forward to the opportunity to continue the same levels and quality of service. Our Duvall firefighters will be part of that continuing service.
With the close of business today, the front office at the downtown fire station will no longer be staffed. However, calls and other inquiries will still be answered, just from Eastside headquarters.

Thank you all!

We have a new service to offer at the main fire station in Duvall! Dylan Cardenas made a beautiful Flag Retirement receptacle as part of his Eagle Scout project for Scouting America (formerly BSA). Dylan is part of Troop 909 and approached us with this opportunity to support him and offer a way for people to properly retire their US flags when they get worn, torn, faded, or discolored.
Fire Chief Ben Lane gave his full support to this remaining available when Eastside Fire & Rescue becomes the service provider on Jan. 1st.
If you have an old US flag that needs replacing you can bring the old one here and ring the doorbell. If the crew is in they will come and help you with the flag.
Thank you Dylan!
