Session announcement for DRNC's upcoming 2026 Disability Advocacy Conference, May 6 at the UNC Friday Center!

Families of individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities often face urgent decisions about future caregiving as circumstances change. Director of Public Policy for DRNC, Corye Dunn, will focus on helping families plan ahead while honoring autonomy and rights in this session, developed in partnership with the Dogwood Health Trust. Participants, including attorneys, will be invited to share their experiences to help shape practical tools and resources, while also gaining guidance on identifying planning needs early and supporting families.

It was a beautiful day to tour Duke Gardens. Durham County Community Living Programs went on a special trip today to walk through the gardens and explore the beautiful flowers. The activity center has been doing plant and garden themes this week and in the coming weeks. All part of Earth Day and spring celebrations planned this month.
