Golden Belt Fall Festival Golden Belt Fall Festival
October 27th from 11am to 3pm

Come celebrate the changing of seasons with the artists and businesses of Golden Belt!

The Golden Belt Fall Festival is a fundraising family event organized by the artists and businesses of Golden Belt, spearheaded by Howard Udel owner of Blend Cafe. We have an afternoon of activities galore planned for both kids and adults. Outside wander through the straw bale maze and pumpkin patch, and join in the pumpkin toss all hosted by Blend Café. The Artists of Golden Belt will be setting

up a pumpkin decorating station, for an additional $5 you can take home your own pumpkin. Stop by and visit the artists of Dogstar Tattoo at their face painting tent, and bring the kids in costume to enter contests and to trick or treat. Also, bring your pet dressed ready to compete in the Triangle Pet Adoption costume contest. Kids can assemble fall craft projects at the table hosted by LabourLove Gallery. Durham’s Fire Department is bringing a 65 foot ladder truck and giving CPR demonstrations. Kids will also have the opportunity to play on the Shodor Foundation’s “Interactivate” site for exploration in science and mathematics. Inside Liberty Arts, for a nominal fee, kids can schedule a time slot with George-ann Greth who will assist them in making a small glass pumpkin. Come upstairs in building 2 to The Cotton Room which is providing a delicious cookie decorating station and a trick or treating stop. They’re also providing their DJ “All Around Raleigh” for the event. We’ve organized this festival to benefit the John Avery Boys and Girls Club. We’re donating 100% of the suggested entry fee set at $5. Help them rebuild after their recent fire! Keep up to date with details at www.facebook.com/GoldenBeltFallFestival
