Build A Better Board is a unique web-based service brought to you by the Executive Service Corps of the Triangle (ESC) that matches Triangle area nonprofits like you with talented individuals who would like to serve in leadership positions on nonprofit boards. Build a Better Board is easy to use and free of charge for both you and the individuals who register with our site. Our research shows that
one of the most difficult issues facing most nonprofits is finding qualified board members. As a nonprofit, you work hard to find good candidates using your network and the networks of your volunteers and board members. But the question remains: are there some great people out there who would love to serve and just don’t know about the opportunities you have? That is why Executive Service Corps of the Triangle has designed a new matchmaking website that will help you find qualified candidates to fill your important board seats. We are supported in this effort by a grant from Blue Cross and Blue Shield of North Carolina. Our partners in this program include: Chapel Hill-Carrboro Chamber of Commerce, North Carolina Center for Nonprofits, Triangle Community Foundation, The Triangle Nonprofit & Volunteer Leadership Center and Young Nonprofit Professionals Network Triangle NC.
