There's a FREE performance taking place tomorrow, Thursday at 7:30 pm to commemorate that fateful day, September 11, 2001. The Chorale Society of Durham & the Durham Symphony Orchestra will perform at the Durham Armory.
Can you believe it's been 25 years since the unthinkable happened? Do you remember where you were? What you were doing? It was a BEAUTIFUL Carolina blue Tuesday in Durham on September 11, 2001. There were no signs of what was to come. The only positive that came of 9/11 was the unifying of our nation. Let's not forget those who lost their lives, and the many heroes of 9/11.

Twenty-five years after the events of Sept. 11, 2001, the community is invited to come together in remembrance, reflection, and unity through music.

Our favorite Elizabeth Street UMC will be hosting their food giveaway MONDAY, SEPTEMBER 14TH! They're seeking volunteers, so you'll need to be there by 12:30 pm, so that they can begin distributing food at 2:00 pm! All are welcome! Again, food distribution will begin at 2pm. If you wish to VOLUNTEER arrive by 12:30 pm!

Join us for our food distribution next Monday, September 14th. If you want to volunteer, please be at Elizabeth Street by 12:30pm, so we can start distributing at 2pm! Let's feed our neighbors! If you are in need of food, come drive up to Elizabeth Street UMC on Monday, and we will start distributing at 2pm!

Can you believe that Star Trek is 60 years old today?!? May we all Live Long and Prosper!🥳🎂

Happy 60th Birthday Star Trek! 🥳🎂🎁🎉This is truly a momentous occasion! This is a franchise that has been around for 6 decades. No matter what incarnation is your favorite, there has been something for everyone; to the kids in the 60s and 70s who watched on big console TV sets, to the present day bunch who stream on flatscreen TVs and cell phones. Star Trek has brought joy, wonderment, possiblities and inspiration to several generations of people, and we are honored to have participated and continued with our interpretation of the original version that started it all!
