Small business owners in Durham are reminded that the application portal for MWBEvolution in Durham opens next week!

MWBEvolution is a seven-month program, beginning in October 2023 and ending in April 2024, offering interactive class sessions; peer mentoring groups; and the opportunity to learn from local experts in the fields of finance, marketing, and procurement.

Participants will learn:
• Business development strategies
• Strategic planning
• Finance and financial management
• Marketing/sales
• Human resources
• Accessing capital
• Contracting with the government and major corporation

Subcontractor Outreach Session for 300 E. Main Project on June 7 - Please share with those you think will be interested!

Progress Carolinas, the affordable housing contractor for the on-going redevelopment project at 300 East Main Street, is holding a Subcontractor Outreach Session on Wednesday, June 7 from 1 to 3 p.m. inside the Durham County Human Services Building. The session will be held in Conference Rooms B & C on the second floor of the HSB, located at 414 East Main Street.

Any and all contractors that would like more information about the project are welcome to attend. This is an open call for all, including minority and women-owned business enterprises (MWBE) and Section 3 building trades!
