The Durham Fire Department (DFD) is responsible for protecting the quality of life for the residents and visitors of Durham by preventing loss of life and property through rapid response to emergency calls and fire
prevention. The DFD ensures that the department achieves these goals through daily operations and commitment to its mission and vision. Participation and Posting Guidelines
We want to hear from our residents and we encourage visitors to provide comments and feedback; however, we do have user guidelines and we respectfully request that site visitors adhere to them. The City of Durham reserves the right to delete all comments that are not in compliance with the following guidelines:
a. No comments will be allowed that use profane or vulgar language or content. No comments will be allowed that target or disparage any person or group on the
basis of race, color, national origin, religion, gender, age, disability, sexual
orientation, or veteran's status. No comments will be allowed that harass or constitute a personal attack on
another user of the site. No comments will be allowed that appear to be spam or advertising solicitations. No comments will be allowed that contain sexual content or links to sexual
content. No comments will be allowed that advocate illegal activity. No comments or postings will be allowed that infringe on copyrights or
trademarks of others. No comments or postings will be allowed that support or oppose political
campaigns, political organizations or ballot measures.
