🚧 Road Improvement Update 🚧

City crews will be returning to SE 8th Avenue, E. Arkansas Street, and E. Florida Street beginning Monday, June 15th, through Thursday, June 18th, to complete the asphalt overlay project.

Residents and motorists in the area should expect construction activity and possible temporary traffic disruptions while work is underway. We appreciate your patience as we continue making improvements to our city streets.

🚧 Traffic Update – West Arkansas Street 🚧

Contract crews continue work on the water line relocation project along West Arkansas Street.

🚦 West Arkansas St. will be reduced to one lane from S 22nd Ave. to Radio Rd. Monday through Thursday while construction is underway. Motorists should expect minor delays and are encouraged to plan for additional travel time when traveling through the area.

Please use caution, follow all traffic control devices, and remain alert for workers and equipment in the construction zone. Slowing down and staying attentive helps keep everyone safe.

Whether your design celebrates Durant, highlights local history, showcases Oklahoma pride, or simply spreads a little joy, we want to see your vision!

🚧 Traffic Alert 🚧

Beginning this week, University Boulevard will undergo intersection rehabilitation and minor street mill-and-overlay work from 6th Avenue to Bryan Drive.

As part of this project, the intersections at 7th Avenue and 12th Avenue will be temporarily closed for concrete rehabilitation. Other areas along University Boulevard will be reduced to one lane or may require temporary traffic rerouting.

Please plan for additional travel time, use caution in work zones, and follow all posted traffic control signs.

This work will be completed by contractors as part of ongoing infrastructure improvements.
