Hello everyone! Children books are back!

Some small changes made to hopefully deter the people taking advantage, but as always feel free to come grab your next read. I’ve added some summer titles, perfect to take on your vacation or read by the pool!

Once again, thank you to everyone who reached out to donate books, stickers and bookmarks. Even the people that just dropped stuff on my porch. Very grateful for the support of the community. Now we should have plenty of books to share even for Halloween, since last year it was a huge success.

Happy reading!

I just want to say thank you to everyone that I’ve spoken to today, has commented on the post or has reached out to donate books and other items.

While the situation was frustrating and disheartening in the moment, I have received so much support from the community and that definitely keeps me going. I will not let this stop me from sharing books and I’m hoping that the person has learned their lesson.

Thank you again!

Hi everyone! It’s happened again!

The library has been there 3 years this month and I’ve never had an issue until last week. Someone, child or adult has been taking more than their fair share of items. Including a push light to light the library, a plastic cup with many bookmarks inside, and a cubby with stickers inside that I put on Sunday.

The latest must’ve been sometime last night or this morning, since I checked the library yesterday afternoon. I don’t know who it was, whether it is a child or an adult, but all books taken have been kid books from the bottom shelf.

For now, I’m pausing the kids books until I can assess my inventory and a way forward. I will also not be putting any additional “fun” items for the time being.

If you need or want kids’ books, please reach out to me through the library page and I’ll make something work.

Ok let’s try this again!

In anticipation of Pride Month starting tomorrow and Juneteenth in a few weeks, I’ve added some books to celebrate these diverse stories. Come pick your next read today!

I’ve also added a new container with stickers, please take one and be considerate of others. Do not take the container, since I’m also missing the light that was in there before.

Happy reading!

Hi everyone! Just a quick reminder about our library.

Please be considerate of others when taking items. I love sharing books and I love to see when people come and swap them and take them to read, but if you take several at a time, it leaves others without options. This library is self-funded, I spend some of my time making sure I have enough books for everyone, whether it’s by going to local sales, putting books from my own collection or getting a few donations.

I also had a small plastic cup that had bookmarks inside, the cup had no value but it is now gone with all the bookmarks inside. Again, this is NOT to deter anyone from visiting and picking the books you would like to read, just a reminder to be considerate of others so we can all enjoy it for a long time!

Thanks!
