Mass DPH surveillance has had a positive West Nile Virus sample from a Dunstable mosquito. Please take precautions when outside, particularly at dawn and dusk. Wear protective clothing and/or repellent with an EPA registered active ingredient.

Late summer, early fall brings the mosquito borne viruses, West Nile Virus and EEE. There is a West Nile Virus case in Middlesex county.

Dump any standing water around your home, wear long sleeves, bug spray. Keep your screens closed. Mosquitoes are mostly out dawn to dusk. Pay attention to that annoying buzz and avoid mosquito bites. The link has tips for keeping your family and your animals safe.
