Hollerin' Heritage Festival Each year we revive the "almost lost" art of Hollerin' and seek to preserve our distinct cultural, historical, & agricultural heritage. No coolers please.

Make your way to Spivey's Corner, "The Crossroads of the World," & and home of the National Hollerin' Contest for the First Annual Hollerin' Heritage Festival, Saturday, September 14, 2013. We are pleased to announce that this year's event will feature a BBQ Cook-Off officially sanctioned by the North Carolina Pork Council. Please join us for a fun filled day that will include live music, great fo

od, antique farm equipment displays & demonstrations, living history exhibits, a classic car show, a kids entertainment zone, vendors, and the 45th Annual National Hollerin' Contest. Lawn chairs, blankets & and "sunbrellas" are welcome. No taxpayer monies are used in the planning or implementation of the event. The Spivey’s Corner Volunteer Fire Department is made up of volunteers who put their life on the line for their community. Monies collected from this event will help raise the funds needed to purchase needed equipment, maintain current equipment, and give the fire department the means necessary to better protect their community
