We will be painting, power washing, and giving our park a little extra attention as we prepare for our 3rd of July festivities.

We're working to spruce things up and make our park look its best for everyone to enjoy.

The Dunn County Fair Open Class is July 10, 2026. We can't wait to see all the entries.
Entries can be dropped of at High Plains Community Center & Dunn County Fair Association or the NDSU Extension - Dunn County office July 9 from 9 am to 4 pm or at High Plains Community Center on July 10 from 8 am to 11 am.
Judging of entries begins at noon on July 10.
Entries will be available for viewing beginning the afternoon of July 10 through July 12.

The City will be out spraying for mosquitoes this evening.

Residents are encouraged to take any precautions they feel are necessary, such as staying indoors, closing windows,& bringing pets indoors during spraying

Looks like it's going to be a fairly quiet night, folks!

If you have any broken trees, limbs, or branches from the storm, please place them along the edge of your property, and Maintenence will pick them up for you. Or call City Hall if you need further assistance!

Severe Weather Notice

With the potential for severe weather this evening, the church in Dunn Center will be unlocked and available as a storm shelter for anyone who may need a safe place to go.

Please monitor weather conditions closely and have a plan in place before storms arrive.

The Storm Prediction Center of western and central North Dakota has a Threat Level 4 (Moderate) Risk for severe storms this afternoon and evening. This is highlighting significant risk for damaging winds and a bow echo/squall line-type of event this evening, with wind gusts of 85-100 mph being the primary hazard. Hail of 1.5-2" is also a potential hazard along with a very low chance of a tornado.
