SETHRA Child and Adult Care Food Program
Southeast Tennessee Human Resource Agency (SETHRA) is a sponsoring organization for the Child and Adult Care Food Program (CACFP). SETHRA sponsors In-home day cares and day care centers in 31 counties in the state of Tennessee. To ensure that nutritious and safely-prepared meals and snacks are available to children and adults in day care settings SETHRA Child Care food program helps to provide reimbursement for qualifying meals and snacks served in child day care centers and family day care homes.
What is CACFP?
CACFP provides aid to child and adult care institutions and family or group day care homes for the provision of nutritious foods that contribute to the wellness, healthy growth, and development of young children, and the health and wellness of older adults and chronically impaired disabled persons.
Through CACFP, more than 4.2 million children and 130,000 adults receive nutritious meals and snacks each day as part of the day care they receive.
