On Thursday 4/23/26, a representative with the Iowa Homeland Security/Emergency Management Office, Disaster Case Advocacy will be in Dunlap.
They will be at the City Hall from 11:00 AM to 7:00 PM. Please plan to visit if you have any questions or needing assistance in applying.

On April 20th, Governor Reynolds signed a Disaster Proclamation for Harrison County in regards to the recent thunderstorm/hailstorm that caused extensive damage to homes and buildings.
Harrison County EMA is working with State Emergency Management Officials to open up the process in applying for any qualifying disaster programs to help the citizens of Harrison County recover from this. Below is a link to start the process.
EMA is also going to work with the City of Dunlap to make arrangements to have disaster advocates on site to assist in person. More information will follow on the location and times they will be available. https://homelandsecurity.iowa.gov/disasters/individual-disaster-assistance-programs

IN THE EVENT OF A PLOWABLE SNOW, THE CITY OF DUNLAP, IA HAS DECLARED A SNOW EMERGENCY FOR DUNLAP, IA STARTING AT 1:30 PM NOVEMBER 28, 2025 AND ENDING 48 HOURS AFTER THE SNOW HAS ENDED. NO VEHICLES CAN BE PARKED ON THE CITY STREETS DURING THIS SNOW EMERGENCY.
