Today, we observe the Juneteenth holiday — and as such, our offices in Dunkirk and Jamestown are closed.

We honor the legacy of Juneteenth by listening, learning, and leading with purpose.

Juneteenth is a time to commemorate freedom, honor our shared history, and celebrate the resilience and contributions of Black Americans. It also offers an opportunity to reflect on how we can continue building communities. Because when we uplift every voice and invest in every community, we all rise.

Through our work across Chautauqua County, we remain committed to creating a future where all residents here can live healthy, fulfilling lives.

Our Jamestown office will also be closed Monday, June 22 for the 13th annual AG Team Charity Golf Classic at Shorewood Country Club.

Throughout the tournament, each Gold Sponsor will have a designated hour. During that time, take a photo with a member of that sponsor's team on the course — or, if you don't cross paths with them, snap a photo with their tee sign!

Post the photo to your Instagram or Facebook, tag United Way of Chautauqua County, and your foursome will receive one extra raffle ticket for each participating sponsor or tee sign you selfie with!

Thank you to Patterson Library in Westfield and everyone who donated baby items for our annual collection drive. Your generosity will help local mothers and newborns get the support they need!

Earlier this week, Community Impact Manager Eric Rinaldo stopped by to pick up the donations from Patterson Library Executive Director Megan Hegna.

The collection phase of our 2026 Community Baby Shower has come to a close, and now we’re taking the next steps: gathering donations from collection sites across Chautauqua County and preparing them for distribution to local families. 💙👶🍼

United Way of Chautauqua County was proud to join community members, partners, and supporters at Dunkirk’s Juneteenth Celebration this weekend.

Representing United Way, Daniel Siracuse connected with local organizations and leaders who are helping strengthen our community every day, including Ivory Brooks, a member of United Way’s Board of Directors; Kait Dawson and Kristin Briggs of the Boys & Girls Club of Northern Chautauqua County; and Jeannie Gallaway and Leslie Wille of Northern Chautauqua Community Foundation.

Juneteenth is a time to honor freedom, reflect on our shared history, and celebrate the diversity that makes our communities stronger. We are grateful to support this longstanding community tradition and to stand alongside so many partners committed to creating opportunities for all.
