Protecting our natural gas system starts with proactive maintenance. Today, our crew performed anode (pipe-to-soil) testing to help monitor the effectiveness of our corrosion protection system. Routine testing like this helps extend the life of our pipelines and keeps our infrastructure operating safely and reliably for the communities we serve. 🔥

New Ohio 811 rules coming soon! Call before you DIG!

Big changes are coming to Ohio excavation laws.

Beginning June 9th 2026, House Bill 227 will officially take effect. One important change includes updated dig notification timing.

- Anyone digging in Ohio, must notify OHIO811 at least 2 WORKING DAYS BEFORE DIGGING (NOT INCLUDING THE DAY OF THE CALL)
- All digging projects must begin within 16 calendar days

These changes are designed to improve safety, coordination, and damage prevention across Ohio.
