Hurricane season in Florida started June 1, so last night, Flotilla 11-10 welcomed Mike Boylan from Mike's Weather Page to talk to our Flotilla about hurricanes. Mike said that it doesn't matter how many or how few hurricanes are predicted, it only takes ONE, so if you're likely to be impacted by a hurricane, preparations should be made sooner rather than later.

Very honored to be asked by the US Coast Guard Auxiliary to give a weather presentation. We spoke all about hurricane season, Florida impacts, and so much more. Even the Gulf earthquake. It was great talking to all of you there tonight here in Clearwater.

Hundreds of enthusiastic supporters gathered at the Clearwater-St. Pete Airport (PIE) to welcome home 74 veterans who visited the nation's capitol on an "Honor Flight".

Coast Guard Air Station Clearwater (Motto: Anytime, Anywhere) is the largest and busiest Coast Guard Air Station in the United States.

Last week the Air Station welcomed members of the local Girl Scouts. Assisting with the tour of the Station were Coast Guard Auxiliarists Rob Bonnem, Harvey Prior and Jon Nichols. All photos by Sharon Bonnem.

Fellowship is one of the four "cornerstones" of the Coast Guard Auxiliary. Members of Flotilla 11-10 get together on a regular basis for camaraderie and conversation.
