Because of the possibility of heavy snow accumulations, the City of Dundas is declaring a snow emergency for Saturday night, March 14th, into Sunday, March 15th. There will be no parking on city streets during this time until the streets are cleared of snow curb to curb by city plows.

Found dog at residence next to the dog park. Yellow lab. brown collar, no tags. Dog will be kept at the Dundas PD until around 7:00PM. Any information please call dispatch at 507-663-9470 to speak with a Dundas officer.
Dog will be brought to Castle Rock Kennels after 7:00pm.

MEDIA RELEASE:
On 12/5/2024, at about 5:27pm, the Dundas Police Department and Northfield Fire Department were dispatched to a house fire in the 500 block of Vermillion Place in Dundas. Upon arrival, Officers confirmed there were no occupants in the home. Dundas and Northfield Police Officers began evacuating nearby houses as a precaution. There were no reported injuries and the investigation as to the cause is under investigation by the Northfield Fire Department.
The Dundas Police would like to thank Northfield Fire & Rescue, Northfield Hospital + Clinics EMS, Northfield Police, and the Rice County Sheriff's Office for their assistance with the incident.

Some friendly reminders with Halloween approaching:
1. Please be extra cautious driving and remember to watch for pedestrians and children crossing the street. (Yes, we know some people won't be using crosswalks unfortunately)

2. Halloween marks the start of the Dundas Winter Parking Ordinance (71.06.B.2).
*No Parking on any public city street from 2:00am to 6:30am
*October 31st thru April 15th.
*$35.00 fine

When it snows, do not push snow into the roadway. Not only is it a violation of the law, but it can cause damage to plows.
