It’s 2026. Almost everyone understands that pro wrestling is scripted entertainment — except, apparently, the Maryland State Athletic Commission.

So why is Maryland still regulating pro wrestling like it is boxing or MMA?

Is it about safety, or is it about fees, paperwork, and keeping the Commission involved in one of the most active live entertainment industries in the state?

Taking the Maryland State Athletic Commission out of pro wrestling could mean:

Lower ticket prices.
More local shows.
More venue options.
More charity and fundraiser events.
More creative freedom.
More Maryland wrestlers getting booked and gaining online exposure.
More fan access, including meet-and-greets with stars from WWE, AEW, MLW, TNA, ROH

Pro wrestling is entertainment. Maryland should treat it that way.

Yesterday’s Protect Fort Howard event was the America I believe in.

Democrats, Republicans, independents, incumbents, challengers, teachers, parents, children, Black, White, Asian, straight, gay, and everyone in between came together for a single cause.

This is what being an American is about. It doesn’t matter where you come from or what party you belong to. What matters is your right to speak your mind, stand up for your community, and work together in a positive and constructive way.

Fort Howard brought us together yesterday, but the lesson is bigger than Fort Howard. When people put community before politics, great things can happen.

Keep fighting for this community. District 6 has a chance to show Maryland what real civic engagement looks like.

Most Americans celebrate the modern 50-star flag. But I always think about the 15-star, 15-stripe flag.

That’s the flag Americans carried during the Battle of North Point in 1814 as the local militia stood against the British advance on Baltimore. It’s the same flag that later flew over Fort McHenry and inspired the Star-Spangled Banner.

It’s a reminder that our community played a direct role in one of the defining moments of American history.

Happy Flag Day. Remember North Point. Protect Fort Howard.

Tonight’s crowd outside the Baltimore Arena shows something we already knows: we support live entertainment.

The arena was great, but it is no longer “Baltimore’s Premier Stage.”

Imagine an Eastpoint entertainment district with a modern arena, restaurants, shops, hotels, and direct transit connections. A venue that hosts concerts, graduations, wrestling, indoor soccer, community events, and brings jobs to the east side.

It’s time to start thinking bigger about what Eastpoint can become. A generational come back.
