Ateaze Senior Center Council We are a place for active seniors (60+) to meet, hang out, & to participate in variety of exercise & Free MEMBERSHIP!!!

A place for seniors age 60+ to interact with others their same age. Look on our website for our newsletter and for more details about the center!

Yesterday we were presented with the 1st Place award at the Maryland Association of Senior Centers (MASC) Programs of Excellence awards banquet for our Lovies for Law Enforcement program.

We are honored to have been selected for this award and are grateful for our partnership with Baltimore County Police Department providing crocheted donations to PCT 11 (Essex) and PCT 12 (Dundalk).

Please be aware if you’re planning to attend the concert in the park- the concert will now be starting at 10am instead of 11am

IMPORTANT TIME CHANGE
Due to the impending heat on Wednesday, the Concert in the Park at Oregon Ridge will begin an hour earlier at 10 am. Lunch will still be served at Noon.

In April we collected pajamas alongside the other senior centers to be donated to Casey Cares Foundation & the BCDA Guardianship Program. In total 672 pairs of pajamas were collected for these great causes. Thank you to all who donated this year!

BCDA collected 672 pairs of pajamas!!

127 baby (0-24m), 181 toddler (2T-5T), 189 child (4-8), 63 big kid (10+), and 112 adult

The children pjs will go to Casey Cares and the adult pajamas will be given to our Guardianship clients in long-term care facilities.

We had a lovely Mother’s Day brunch today featuring eggs, sausage, bacon, pancakes, fruit salad, mini sandwiches, cupcakes, and of course tea! Thank you to our kitchen volunteers for preparing all the food, Helen & Kathi for organizing and setting things up, and all those who came to support.

Happy Mother’s Day to all who have a mom, are a mom, mother figures, pet moms, and everything in between.

This week we celebrated Volunteer Appreciation Week, honoring our dedicated volunteers who help keep our Center running. We have had a week full of excitement.

Monday: Goodie Bags
Tuesday: Root Beer Floats
Wednesday: Pancake Breakfast
Thursday: Luncheon catered by Two Guys Grill & entertainment by Rayon Walker (strawberries made by Zoe for some pizzazz)
Friday: Raffle Basket Drawing

We truly could not do what we do without the unwavering support of our volunteers. We love & appreciate each of you. Thank you for being a part of what makes Ateaze Senior Center great!
