What does the future of AI look like for educators and students? This week 250 educators explored the future of technology in the classroom along with other current topics such as Project Based Learning, supporting grieving students, Inclusion, and Apple engagement strategies at Susquenita’s LIFTED Conference. Guest speaker, Oliver Dreon, PhD posed the question, “Artificial Intelligence: Hero or Villain?”before delving into a fascinating presentation.

Susquenita Family,

The Susquenita Blackhawk Foundation is excited to host our Annual Golf Scramble on June 26, 2026, at Eagles Crossing Golf Club in Carlisle, and we are looking for five more teams to help us fill the field!

This event is a great opportunity to enjoy a day on the course while supporting a meaningful cause. Registration includes a light lunch before the outing and dinner following the event. Golfers will also have the opportunity to participate in a variety of contests and a raffle, with proceeds benefiting the Susquenita Golf Team.

Most importantly, every dollar raised through this event goes directly back to supporting students and programs across all three schools in the Susquenita School District. The Blackhawk Foundation is committed to enhancing educational opportunities for our students, and community support makes that possible.

Whether you are a seasoned golfer or simply looking for a fun day with friends, colleagues, or family members, we would love to have you join us. If you have been considering registering a team, now is the perfect time to do so.

Congratulations to our 2026 Susquenita School District Retirees 🧡🖤

Ruth Harper, kept our school looking wonderful for 29 years as a member of our custodial staff. She always took the time to strike up a conversation at the end of the school day. We will miss you!

Kelly Reichert served the individual needs of many students, while assisting teachers in the classroom, in her role as a paraprofessional. Her willingness to pitch in wherever needed and her delicious cupcakes will go unmatched!

Terri Walk greeted students and families in the front office for 21 years. Terri’s sense of humor always made our faculty smile, we will miss that end of the day dose of laughter!

Cheryl Gros, our Elementary Librarian, was an educator for 20 years introducing our students to the love of reading in their formative years. Librarians are always fondly remembered and Mrs. Gros will be no exception!

Three of our four retires are Susquenita alumni, but in their hearts all of our retirees will always be a Blackhawk!
Our retirees were gifted a rocking chair and orange and black blanket. These will come in handy as some plan to rock their grand babies or just relax! Best wishes wherever the “road to retirement” leads you. 🧡🖤
