Our Helen has produced 3 non grey foals in a row when bred to 3 different stallions that were also grey! Now let's talk odds. Each of the stallions and Helen only have 1 copy of the grey gene so there was a 25% chance that the foals would be non grey. Now the fact she did this 3 times in a row was 1.56% chance! It has been a huge education in how horses come out the colors they do and I feel I have just scratched the surface.
