Southwest Oklahoma Regional Transportation Planning Organization Hosts Public Events for the “Forward 45” Regional Transportation Plan

The Southwest Oklahoma Regional Transportation Planning Organization (SORTPO) is excited to invite community members to a series of public outreach events dedicated to the development of the Forward 45 Regional Transportation Plan (RTP). These events are a key part of SORTPO's commitment to involving the community in shaping the future of transportation in Southwest Oklahoma.

The Forward 45 RTP is a comprehensive, 20-year strategic initiative designed to guide transportation decisions for all travel modes in southwest Oklahoma. The plan addresses key issues such as transportation safety, system conditions, accessibility, quality of life, and environmental impacts, with the goal of creating an integrated and efficient transportation network for Southwest Oklahoma.

Duties include preparing grant applications, tracking projects, maintaining project files and submitting required documents and reports in a timely manner. Applicant must have good communication skills to effectively interact with local government officials and community leaders. College degree preferred. Related work experience considered. This position may require some work in the evenings or on Fridays.

ASCOG is accepting resumes for an Area Agency on Aging (AAA) Division Director.
Duties include supervising, coordinating, evaluating, and monitoring all ASCOG administered aging programs, staff and activities. Adhere to guidelines of Older Americans Act and other federal and state agencies. Maintain AAA Advisory Council. Maintain liaison with Special Unit on Aging of the Oklahoma Department of Human Services. Create and maintain AAA division budget. Establish objectives and priorities for implementation of the Area Plan.

Bachelor’s degree and one year full-time paid employment in a related field with supervisory or administrative experience.

Minimum salary is $39,878.00. ASCOG offers a generous benefit package including sick, vacation, and holiday leave, health insurance, pension and more.
