Dumont Social Services & Food Pantry

Dumont Social Services & Food Pantry Residents of Dumont that need assistance or residents that want to help others!

Dumont Social Services is there: When the rent could not be paid - When the electric or water bill could not be paid - When recreation fees were needed - When families needed food health, paper and cleaning supplies - When disability benefits were denied and food stamps were terminated - When employment was lost or unemployment benefits ended - When disability benefits were not enough - When chil

d support was not received. With the help of tax deductible donations from the Residents of Dumont we can continue to help our neighbors maintain their quality of life during times of unexpected hardship. Stop & Shop, CVS and Walgreens gift cards, as well as non-perishable food, cooking oil, seasoning, paper goods, cleaning supplies, are always needed

We extend our gratitude to all donors who contributed new and gently used clothing, sneakers, and shoes for our upcoming distribution to Dumont residents registered with Dumont Human Services. Regrettably, some donors seem to misunderstand our requests and submit items such as soiled undergarments, clothing covered in pet hair, stained, filthy, torn, or threadbare items. These items are not suitable for distribution. We kindly request that donors respect the needs of our recipients by not donating items that could be considered trash. Unfortunately, we have had to dispose of a significant quantity of such items, filling two large garbage pails and ten large bags for bins this week.

We will be accepting clothing again July 1-15 and again August 12-19. Please do not drop items outside the Dumont Senior Center. Donations are accepted inside!

The struggle is real for everyone with the prices of food rising and gas too! This has caused a ripple affect - donations of supplies have slowed down while distribution has increased.
Please grab an extra item or two for the Dumont Food Pantry and drop off at Dumont Borough Hall M-F 9-4:30
