Are you a landowner looking to plant a stand of trees or make improvements to your current one? Texas Climate-Smart Initiative grants may be able to help you achieve your forest management goals by covering costs for tree stand establishments, forest fertilization, herbicide applications, prescribed burns, and forest thinnings.

This grant initiative aims to incentivize farming practices that reduce greenhouse gas emissions or sequester carbon. Specifically in forestry, these grants provide landowners with the opportunity to maximize carbon capturing while also producing quality wood fiber for the timber industry.
