LSS Youth & Family Services - Northeast MN In 2016 LSS celebrates 100 years of serving youth and families in the Duluth community.

We support young people at risk of or experiencing homelessness by providing them with resources and the support they need to launch into productive, healthy and independent lives. Bethany Children's Home first opened in 1916, and is now present day LSS Bethany Crisis Shelter. As we celebrate the past 100 years in Duluth, we look forward to our next 100 years by opening a new facility for youth, the Center for Changing Lives. The center will offer housing and supportive services for young people at risk of or experiencing homelessness. In addition to services for families with young children and youth, we’ve been helping people in the Duluth community take charge of their finances and overcome debt since 1987. LSS Financial Counseling equips and empowers over 1,600 people each year to conquer their debt and achieve their financial goals. We provide debt, student loan, budget, credit, and housing counseling at no charge. The depth of LSS services in the Duluth community truly changes lives each and every day. The Teen Closet will be closing EARLY today. We will be available for shopping from 2pm-4pm today, and will resume regular shopping hours September 10, 2pm-6pm. If you'd like to schedule a different shopping time call Ollie or Paige at 218.529.2230.
