Tear Down Sunday at the Arrowhead EMS Conference & Expo.

The banners are coming down, trailers are loading up, and behind the scenes the work is wrapping — but the learning isn’t done yet. Today is our final day of breakout sessions, and there’s still great education, conversation, and connection happening across the conference floor.

As we close out another incredible AEMSA week, we’re grateful for every provider, instructor, sponsor, exhibitor, and partner who showed up to make this conference what it is — a place for rural, remote, and urban EMS to learn, lead, and grow together.

Before you head home, do us one favor: save the date for next time.

And just like that, we brought the Arrowhead EMS Conference & Expo to a powerful close.

Our final keynote with Jason Dush asked a question we don’t always slow down enough to answer: Why did we get into this work, and what do we want to get out of it?

Jason challenged us to reconnect with our purpose — not just in our careers, but in life. Through practical tools and real reflection, he reminded us that success isn’t accidental. It comes from knowing what drives you, aligning your actions with that purpose, and showing up intentionally for the people and communities you serve.

Looking across a room full of EMS professionals leaning in one last time, it was the perfect way to wrap a week focused on leadership, resilience, and growth.

Thank you, Jason, for sending us home motivated, grounded, and ready for what’s next. And thank you to everyone who made AEMSA another unforgettable conference.

Gname the Gnome contest. Our friendly buddy has been keeping us on track here at the DECC. But he doesn’t have a name. Help us give him a name.

Saturday is our favorite day at the Arrowhead EMS Conference & Expo — and this morning reminded us exactly why.

We kicked things off with a powerful, honest, and deeply human keynote from Dr. Alexandra Jabr. In EMS, we expect trauma to come from the big calls — the pediatric arrest, the MCI, the drowning. But Dr. Jabr challenged us to look at something quieter and often harder: what happens when the calls stop, the uniform comes off, and the identity you built your life around suddenly changes.

Through humor, vulnerability, and real talk, she walked us through pain, loss, maladaptive coping, and the slow, uneven road to healing — and how losing what you thought defined you can actually open the door to your next chapter of service.

Looking out at a full room of EMS professionals leaning in, reflecting, and connecting — this is what AEMSA is all about. Growth. Resilience. And taking care of the people who take care of everyone else.

Thank you, Dr. Jabr, for setting the tone for an unforgettable Saturday.

What an incredible way to open the Arrowhead EMS Conference & Expo.

This morning, we were honored to welcome Major Katie Lunning for our Opening Keynote. Through powerful storytelling and real-world experience, Maj. Lunning challenged us to think differently about leadership, resilience, and decision-making under pressure — from combat operations overseas to crisis response here at home.

Looking out across a room filled with EMS professionals from rural, remote, and urban communities, it’s clear: the work you do matters, and the lessons shared today will travel back with you to every service, every crew, and every patient you serve.

Thank you, Maj. Lunning, for setting the tone for a meaningful and impactful week at AEMSA.
