Got unused or expired medications at home? Don’t toss them in the trash or leave them sitting around.

The Duluth Police Department offers a secure Med-Return Box located in our front lobby for safe and responsible disposal.

✅ Accepted:
• Prescription medications
• Over-the-counter medications

❌ Not Accepted:
• Needles or sharps
• Syringes with needles
• Thermometers, IV bags, or medical equipment
• Inhalers, hydrogen peroxide, personal care products, or contaminated waste

Why use it?
Unused medications can lead to accidental poisonings, misuse, or theft. Our Med-Return Program helps keep dangerous drugs out of the wrong hands — no questions asked.

💙 Happy Father’s Day from the Duluth Police Department! 💙

Today we celebrate all the dads, grandfathers, stepdads, and father figures who are always there for their families.

We also want to recognize the fathers wearing the uniform today. While they may be spending part of their day serving and protecting our community, their dedication to their families never goes unnoticed.

During the Lantern Parade at Duluth Town Green, Master Patrol Officer Randy Samuel helped kids create lanterns for the parade and spent time taking photos with families throughout the evening.

If your pet can’t go inside with you, the safest choice is to leave them at home.
