Stowe preschoolers were trying to move large rocks to look for worms. Miss Tina showed them how to make a lever with a fulcrum (log) and beam (flat piece of wood). The children moved their lever to each big rock and taught new friends how to use it. Science and math in action!

Plastic pizza can only be pizza. Loose parts, like paper, rocks, bottle caps, etc can be anything your mind can imagine! In a world full of technology that does almost everything, it’s great to give children materials that spark imagination and creativity. BONUS: Loose parts are often FREE, too!
