Heads up! And plan ahead!
Planned power outage
Thursday 7/20 at 11:59 pm for approximately two hours. This will affect Kane and Garfield counties, and Fredonia.
Hey there, community members! We wanted to give you a heads up about an upcoming power outage in your area. Don't worry, it's all part of our efforts to improve your electricity service. We've been working hard on upgrading the system at the substation, and now we need to temporarily interrupt the power supply to complete the remaining crucial tasks. We've been doing as much as possible while the power has been on, but to ensure the safety of our crews and get the job done efficiently, we need to have a planned outage. Instead of one long outage lasting over 12 hours (which nobody would enjoy), we've decided to break it into shorter outages, which has been the reason for the last few planned power outages.
The main reason behind all of this is to upgrade our control equipment. By doing so, we can reduce the duration of future power outages and identify and fix issues in the system more quickly. It's all about improving reliability and getting your power back on faster when things go wrong. We understand that power outages can be inconvenient, and we sincerely apologize for any disruption this may cause. Our team will be working hard to complete the upgrades and restore power as soon as possible. While we can't predict any unexpected challenges, we'll do our best to keep you informed along the way. If you have any questions or need more info, feel free to reach out. We're here to help and provide any necessary clarifications.
Thanks for your patience and understanding as we work to create a better power infrastructure for our community. Your support means a lot.
