Fred Hayes State Park at Starvation

Dear Local Business Owner,

Fred Hayes State Park is looking forward to bringing the community together for a fun, family-friendly Halloween event this fall, and we are inviting local businesses to be a part of making it possible!

This event is being planned as a “For Community” event, designed specifically to provide a safe, affordable, and fun Halloween experience for families and visitors in the surrounding community. Because it is being organized as a For Community event, special event permits are not required, allowing us to focus on creating a great experience for everyone who attends.

We are looking for local businesses and organizations that would like to support the event through sponsorships, prizes, activities, or booths.

Ways Your Business Can Participate

Set Up a Booth
Businesses are welcome to set up a booth at the event. This could include:

* Passing out candy or treats
* Games or activities for kids
* Promotional materials
* Giveaways
* Information about your business or organization
* A fun Halloween-themed activity

Sponsor Prizes
Businesses can also sponsor prizes for Halloween contests, games, costume competitions, or other activities. So far we have planned a “Best Trunk” for the Trunk-or-Treat and a costume contest. Both are in need of prizes. Prize donations could include gift cards, merchandise, services, or other items your business would like to contribute.

Sponsor the Event
Businesses interested in providing financial support can help cover the costs of decorations, activities, prizes, supplies, and other event expenses. Sponsors will be recognized as supporters of the community event.

Looking for a fun way to enjoy the outdoors at Fred Hayes State Park? Check out our archery range!

Our range features 9 stations with a variety of 3D targets, giving you plenty of opportunities to practice your aim and test your skills. From beginners to experienced archers, there’s something for everyone! 🌲🏹

Don’t have your own equipment? No problem! Bows and arrows can be borrowed at the main booth so you can give archery a try during your visit.

Go straight after the entrance booth and hang a right at the Osprey nest!

Grab your gear, take aim, and see how close you can get to the bullseye! 🎯

🚨 BOAT SLIP DOCK UPDATE 🚨

Due to the current low water levels at Fred Hayes State Park, the Boat Slip Dock is currently out of the water and is unusable.

If you have an upcoming reservation for the Boat Slip Dock, you have two options:

💰 Request a refund at the entrance booth
🛥️ Use the Courtesy Dock from 8:00 PM–8:00 AM

We apologize for the inconvenience and appreciate your patience and understanding as water levels continue to change.
