The Authority stresses the quality location, leadership, and livability of Laurens

County. Laurens County is located halfway between Atlanta and Savannah on I-16. We are less than two hours by car from Atlanta and Savannah. Laurens County also has one of the lowest tax millage rates in the state.

📣Resource for Consideration.📣

DCA continues to distribute federal funds for disaster recovery related to Hurricane Idalia, Tropical Storm Debby, and Hurricane Helene. The Georgia Homeowner Rehabilitation and Reconstruction Program is available in specific counties to repair or replace homes damaged by storms and assist families struggling to keep up with their mortgage payments. DCA’s team will set up at multiple locations within our community to serve as a resource for those in need.

The first event is scheduled for November 19, 2025, at the Oconee Gym Multipurpose Room from 10:00 AM to 3:00 PM, where case managers will be available.

Applicants must meet certain eligibility criteria and submit the required documents. DCA encourages those affected by these storms to complete a pre-application to check their eligibility at https://surveys.georgiahrrp.com/. For more information, please call (678) 233-2590.

The Dublin-Laurens County Development Authority is seeking an Operations Manager. This is a full-time, professional position that is responsible for processing and maintaining financial/payroll/personnel records, materials for meetings of the DLCDA Board of Directors/preparing minutes and overseeing the management and maintenance of facilities. Work is performed under the direction of the DLCDA President.

The preferred candidate should have a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Finance or a closely related field and three (3) years of related experience that includes budgeting, financial reporting and a strong working knowledge of Quickbooks, OR an equivalent combination of training and experience which provides the required knowledge, skills and abilities. The preferred candidate must be an organized self-starter and be able to work independently on tasks.
