This is reality.
Smoke, darkness, and zero visibility can turn a building into a maze during a search and rescue. Our firefighters train to search every inch, locate victims quickly, and bring them to safety.

We train hard in full gear because preparation is what makes the difference when lives are on the line.

As this year’s graduates take the next step toward their future, we want to recognize the hard work, determination, and commitment it took to reach this milestone. Whether your path leads, never stop learning, growing, and chasing your goals.

Congratulations, Dublin graduates! Your future is bright and this is only the beginning. We look forward to seeing the impact this next generation will make in our communities.👏 🍀

Yesterday, Fire Marshal Sam Parsons and Community Safety Liason Megan Schiff visited Chapman Elementary, where students created sensory bags for first responders to use when caring for young individuals who may have trouble communicating, feel overwhelmed, or be nervous during emergency situations.

Each bag includes tools to provide comfort and support including a communication card, sensory toys, a teddy bear, sunglasses for bright lights, and more to help our crews create a calmer, more reassuring experience when it matters most.

We couldn’t be more thankful to serve such a thoughtful and supportive community, and we’re proud to work alongside our partners at the Dublin Police Department to help care for our residents in every way possible.

Thank you to the students and staff for your kindness, creativity, and commitment to making a difference in your community. 🍀 🚒

Recently, crews from Washington Township Fire Department helped prevent a potentially larger fire when a burning bathroom vent was quickly identified, removed, and extinguished before the fire could spread.

Bathroom exhaust fans work hard every day, but over time, dust and lint buildup, electrical issues, or worn-out motors can create a hidden fire hazard.

Be sure to routinely clean and check your vents often for issues and do not leave on longer than necessary. A little prevention today can help protect your home tomorrow.

When the call is bigger than one department… the fire service answers together. This past month, Washington Township Fire Department responded to six mutual aids calls to assist other departments in surrounding areas.

𝐖𝐡𝐚𝐭 𝐢𝐬 𝐌𝐮𝐭𝐮𝐚𝐥 𝐀𝐢𝐝? Mutual aid means neighboring fire departments come together to provide extra firefighters, medic units, specialized equipment, and support when emergencies demand more resources. From major fires and water rescues to severe weather and large-scale incidents, mutual aid ensures no community stands alone.

It’s not about whose name is on the truck. It’s about one mission: protecting lives, property, and each other. 🚒🤝
