Over this past weekend, the Ann Simpson Davis Chapter DAR presented Perry Township's Davis Cemetery with an NSDAR America 250 Patriots Marker. This is a commemorative plaque placed at a site to honor individuals who served as Revolutionary War patriots — men and women who fought for American independence between 1775 and 1783. These markers are part of the America 250 Patriots Marker Project, a national initiative by the National Society Daughters of the American Revolution (DAR) to recognize the contributions of those who helped secure the nation’s founding. You can learn more about DAR by visiting their website: https://www.dar.org/discover/about-dar/dar-history
