CAMP PARKS TO BEGIN "GIANT VOICE" SYSTEM TESTING JULY 10

DUBLIN, Calif. — Beginning the morning of July 10, Parks Reserve Forces Training Area (PRFTA) (aka Camp Parks) will conduct contractor testing of our upgraded "Giant Voice" General Announcing Speaker System. These are planned tests to ensure the system's readiness and do not indicate an emergency.
The Giant Voice is a critical life-safety tool used to broadcast emergent and non-emergent communications from PRFTA Headquarters to personnel across the garrison, including Soldiers training in the northern hills.
What to Expect During July 10 Testing
• The Sounds: During the testing period, you may hear a combination of Westminster Chimes, various alert tones, and a voice stating: "This is a test of the Giant Voice Mass Notification System. This is only a test."
• The Schedule: Testing will begin the morning of July 10 and will occur strictly during normal business hours.
• Action Required: None. Please do not call 911 or local emergency services when you hear these broadcasts, as they are controlled, pre-planned tests.

Tune in here tomorrow (FACEBOOK LIVE) starting at 1000 for our Change of Responsibility where CSM Lorey will turn over responsibilities to our new CSM Oduro-Boafo and following that ceremony at 1100 will be our Change of Command where LTC Tony Ibrahim will assume leadership of Parks Reserve Forces Training Area (Camp Parks for short) from LTC Richard King who has led Camp Parks since July 2024.
